The hardworking tenants of an inner-city shopping center are not looking forward to a visit from their new landlord, a college dropout from Beverly Hills who's anxious to sell the property and move back home. But God has another plan that unfolds after Monica (Roma Downey) loses her sight and Tess (Della Reese) recruits Promised Land's 16-year-old Josh (Austin O'Brien) to assist. When tragedy strikes, Andrew (John Dye) arrives, and the angels help the young landlord and his tenants find strength as they learn to look beyond stereotypes that would make them enemies in order to pull together as a community.
